Suncoast Credit Union and Osceola Magic Raise $25,000 for Local Nonprofit Groups
KISSIMMEE, Fla. (March 26, 2026) – Suncoast Credit Union and the Osceola Magic are pleased to announce the results of yet another year of the successful “Magic Buckets for the Community” program. This season, the organizations raised an impressive $25,000 to support nonprofit organizations throughout Central Florida.
“Supporting nonprofits is one way to build a better, stronger community,” said Kevin Johnson, President and CEO of Suncoast Credit Union. “This program brings together fans, organizations and the community to bring about meaningful change, and we couldn’t be happier with this year’s final result.”
This season, 10 local nonprofits from Central Florida participated in the program. Two competed each month for votes to secure a portion of the funds. For every point scored by the team, Suncoast donated money into a pot, up to $5,000 per month. Each month, two nonprofit organizations engaged the community in a friendly competition for votes on Suncoast's website. The percentage of votes each nonprofit received determined their portion.
The organizations were presented with ceremonial checks at the Osceola Magic’s final home game on March 20.
Organizations that were awarded donations include: Down Syndrome Association of Central Florida, StepN2OurLane, Paving the Way Foundation, Mental Health Association of Central Florida, Tree House Foundation, Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida, Children’s Safety Village of Central Florida, One Heart for Women and Children, Aeras Foun-dation and Center for Independent Living of Central Florida.
